Mary Frances Waters Williams, 86, died Friday, April 27, 2007 at Candler Hospital. The Bulloch County native worked for Shores Grocery, Byrd Brothers Supermarket and the Holland House Restaurant. She was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jim and Annie Waters, and twelve brothers and sisters.
She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Jessie Brooks Williams, of Savannah, her daughter Linda W. Alford and her husband, Roger, of Bossier City, La., two granddaughters, Nikki Alford, of Shreveport, La., and Christina Alford, of Bossier City, La. She is also survived by her sisters, Frankie Waters, of Savannah, Zenta Lee Goss, of Orlando, Fl., Thernell Tanner and Annie Mae Motes, both of Statesboro, one brother, Waldo Waters, of Statesboro, numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Sunday, April 29, 2007 from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m., at Fox and Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel.
Funeral services will be 2:30 p.m., Monday, April 30, 2007 at Fox and Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel with the Rev. Larry Williams officiating. Active pallbearers will be nephews.
Burial will be in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
